Chail is hill station in the state of Himchal Pradesh in India. It is situated at a height of 2250 meter above sea level. Its distance is 63 km from Shimla in the Shivalik region of Himachal Pradesh. Chail, along with Kufri and Shimla is called the golden triangle of Himachal Pradesh. Chail has the dense cover of pine and deodar trees. Its lush green outfield stunning view of the mountains and captivation nature beauty makes it a fine place to visit. Chail wildlife sentuary attract a large number of nature lover and wildlife photographer and tourist spot a wide verity of flora and fauna that include animal like Himalayan Black dear, common languor, Sambar, Goral among others. There is also a beautiful view of Himalayan rangers and snow cappted peaks. It is a beautiful hill town which enables to enjoy beauty of nature peacefully. There are various places for sightseeing and tourists can also go fishing and trekking. 

Best time visit:

Summer is the best season to visit Chail for sure. Summers starts in the month of March and continue till the month of May. Summers is quite pleasant and in average temperature during day is about 150c and maximuam tempreture goes up till 240c.

Monsoons begin in the month of June till September. The beauty of this hill station is worth admiring during monsoon season, winter begin in the month of October to February. The minimum temperature during this season goes as low as 20c and less. The winter season witness snow fall quite frequently.

By Air:

The nearest airport is Jabarhatti, located in Shimla about 62 km from Shimla. A part from this Chandigarh airport is at a distance of 113 km via NH22. These airports have flights connecting them with major Indian cities.

By Train:

The nearest railway station is Kalka, about 81 km via National Highway 22. Various trains such as Kalka Shatabdi, Pachim express and Himalayan queen connect Kalka with major Indian cities.

By Road:

From Delhi you can directly board NH1 to Ambala and NH22 to Kandaghat. There are several buses and taxies are available to reach to Chail from Delhi, Chandigarh, Karka, Shimla and Kandaghat.
