Kasauli

Kasauli has dense woody forest that makes it an ideal tourist destination for the travelers. It is located in the solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Kasuali (6400 ft) is a good detour between Shimla and Kalka, and often called lesser Shimla. It is the first Hill station while approaching Shimla from Kalka. Its distance just 77 km from Shimla, Kasouli is easily recognized by its huge TV tower. This beautiful destination is known as the aboard of free frequent in danger spices of Himalayan funa that lures a large number of travelers every year. The road Kalka to Dharampur is common for shimla and kasauli, about 17 km from this place toward the left. This place is well known for its snow clad mountains, opaque forests and verdant foliage which traits to the perfect beauty of this hill station.

Best time to visit:

Kasauli is a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh. The best time t visit the town is from April to June and then again from September to November, summer start in the month of March to June, the tempreture rages from 140c to 280c. During summer season the days are warm and nights are cool. During summer tourist can walk along the Cobbled Street and lovely garden of Kasauli. There is fews sightseeing option in the region as well. The most popular being monkey point.

Mansoon start in the month of June to September. Its pleasant season and bring with scanty showers of rains, winter start from in the month on number to February. The temperature generally remains between 50c to 40c and this time.

How to Reach

By Air:

The closet airport is located in Chandigarh about 70 km from Kasauli. From outside the airport, you can easily find taxis which are available to kasauli from Chandigarh that are quite normal in range. There are daily flights from delhi to other cities to this place. It takes about two hours to travel to kasauli from this place.

By Train:

The nearest railway station is Kalka which is almost 40 km away from kasauli. Kalka railway station is well connected with all the major cities in India, Such as Amritsar, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

By Bus:

Distance between Delhi to Kausali is about 305 km by road, which is well connected by 4 lane national highway; you can take buses directly from Delhi to Kasauli. It would be takes about 7 to 8 hours to reach Kasauli.
